ATOKA, TN., - Crye-Leike, REALTORS in Atoka invite the public to attend a FREE educational homebuyer's seminar and find out why now is the best time to purchase a home.

"We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who is even considering buying a home right now," said Crye-Leike Atoka Managing Broker Nancy Carroll. "With the $8,000 tax credit for first-time buyers, with interest rates still at a historical low and with a good selection of homes on the market to choose from, now is a great time for anyone to purchase a home and stop throwing money away on rent."

Potential buyers are encouraged to come ask questions and learn about the entire home buying process from searching for a home and making an offer to signing papers at the closing table.

"The agents in our office decided to offer a free homebuyer seminar to explain the steps involved in buying a home," said Carroll. "We want to educate the...

At 73, Rev. Edward Hampton is still learning life lessons. The most recent one? Never say never.

When a family friend approached him last year about buying her West Memphis house, Hampton's immediate response was, "I'm too old to buy a house."

But his friend put him in contact with her real estate agent, Linda Franks of Crye-Leike's Marion, Ark., office. Franks assured him age was not a factor in the home-buying process.

"It was his dream to have a house, but he kept thinking, 'No, I can't get one -- I'm too old,'" Franks said. "He had been renting all these years. He didn't even think he could buy."

He loved the house, so when Franks told him it could work,...

FAIRVIEW, TN., - Crye-Leike, REALTORS in Fairview invite the public to attend a FREE educational homebuyer's seminar and find out why now is the best time to purchase a home.

"We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who is even considering buying a home right now," said Crye-Leike Fairview Managing Broker Sheree Rudd. "With the $8,000 tax credit for first-time buyers, with interest rates still at a historical low and with a good selection of homes on the market to choose from, now is a great time for anyone to purchase a home and stop throwing money away on rent."

The clock is ticking down on the government's $8,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers as the credit expires November 30. First-time homebuyers and anyone who hasn't owned a home in three years have less than 90 days to search for and close on a home before the opportunity to receive the $8,000 credit ends.

Potential buyers are e...

Crye-Leike, REALTORS Quail Hollow Agents have gone to the dogs participating in the office's first annual "Dog Days of Summer" Contest and Fundraiser for Youth Villages.

Agents and employees dressed their dogs in the most creative costumes they could find hoping their furry friend would be the new Crye-Leike Quail Hollow office mascot who would earn the privilege to appear in marketing ads for the remainder of 2009.

The dogs and their owners put on a great show on Tuesday September 1st at Crye-Leike's Corporate Headquarters located at 6525 Quail Hollow Road.

Thanks to Crye-Leike's Relocation and Insurance Departments, Magna Bank, Realty Title, and all the Crye-Leike Agents who participated, the fundraiser was a great success.

A special thanks goes to Zaxby's Chicken for providing lunch. Gues...

BRYANT, AR., During the annual ?Month of September' United Way campaign season - special events and activities are often seen as the trademark approach to generating the most donations.  That may be true in many cases - but not all.

"I did not have an event, I just talked to people around the office and set a goal of $55 as the minimum donation per person," said Jeremiah Oltmans, a Realtor with Crye-Leike Bryant. "I did my own research about United Way and took the initiative on my own to ask for support and at the end of the day it resulted in $672 raised."

While somewhat unconventional - agent Jeremiah Oltmans' approach apparently connected with his fellow Realtors.

"All I know is that I like to give back to my community and that is why I accepted the invitation to head up the annual United Way fundraiser," said Jeremiah.  "I really believe in giving back to the community - since it has given so...
